The guru is an AI. A mirror, not a person.
Data controller for BlissGuru: Vincent Flores de Waard. Contact: developer@donqshotlabs.com.
Your question is sent to our server in real time and passed to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the answer. On the server we briefly detect the language of your question, so the answer comes back in your language.
Purpose: answering your question. Legal basis: this processing is necessary to provide the service you initiate by asking a question (performance of a contract).
We do not store your questions or the answers on our servers.
Anthropic (US) processes your question to generate the answer; the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards under Anthropic's commercial terms. Vercel hosts the application and processes technical request data in doing so.
No accounts. No ads. No selling of data.
No training on your questions: by default Anthropic does not use API data to train models, and we have not activated any opt-in for that — see their current policy. (current policy)
We keep nothing of your conversation on our servers. During your session the conversation lives temporarily in your device's session storage and disappears when you close the app or tab.
In addition, only after your consent your device stores: your consent choice, the ember progress (visit counter) and your daily question counter; and if you dismiss the install hint, that choice. In the iOS app this lives in your device's app storage. If you use the home screen widget, your device also stores your latest question for it (never the answer) — it disappears when you delete the app.
Our hosting (Vercel) briefly processes technical request logs (including your IP address) for security and the question limit (max 60 per hour — your IP is only held in the server's working memory for this).
If something breaks, we log a technical error message without the content of your question. On the website we use Vercel Analytics: anonymized usage statistics, without cookies.
If your message contains signs of distress, BlissGuru immediately shows support resources (findahelpline.com; Dutch speakers: 113, 0800-0113, or 112 in acute danger) instead of a guru response, and the conversation ends there. This detection happens on our server and via the AI model. Nothing is reported to third parties.
You can report any answer the guru gives. Press and hold the answer, or tap the flag, and choose “Report this answer”. The report is sent through your own mail app to developer@donqshotlabs.com; it includes your question, the answer, and the time. No report passes through our servers — what you don't send never leaves your device. We use reports to adjust the guru. Reports are kept until review is complete, then deleted, unless the law requires otherwise.
Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. Because we don't store your conversation and keep no account, there is usually nothing to access or erase — you clear local data yourself by removing site data or the app.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens)
You can revoke your consent for AI processing at any time. The consent prompt will appear again next time you open BlissGuru.
